I know what you mean. I guess its a class thing. Lots of modified BMW at the tail end but some nice stuff up ahead. In the comments there is also something about her being on slicks while many other played safe in the rain with wets; although there was some light rain, the track was dry in places

Sorry for being thick but what was she driving ?

A couple of laps of the ring with her at the wheel has just been added to my bucket list !

She's the real deal alright, she was at the Silverstone Classic a couple of years ago in a Porsche 956, there's no fear, just carried the speed everywhere. A very skillful race driver!

What a lap and in the wet! Love the bit where she leaves the GP track, joins the Nordschleife and has the tussle with the white 997 (no.56), she wasn’t happy when he jumped back in front of her.
15-ish years ago on one of our weekend trips to the ‘Ring, she took out two mates in the M5 Ringtaxi. I went out in the next car with her colleague who was equally familiar with the track. What a blast, these guys used to chuck the cars into 100mph+ drifts and then flick the wheel / throttle and do the same on the other lock, all while looking over their shoulder and talking to the terrified passenger in the rear. Showboating like that and then embarrassing the weekenders in their exotic kit with some proper driving.
Sadly did the Ringtaxi again two years ago but in today’s world you are not allowed to have fun so it was traction control firmly on (we asked... nope) for a completely dull, albeit fast lap. So disappointing.
Mark.

I read that Sabine grew up next to the ring. Her parents house is a hotel or something.

That’s right, it’s a hotel restaurant- cool and famous place with racing drivers autographs and pics completely covering the walls. When I went over to the ring I stayed at the “racers retreat” right opposite.

Yep i've stayed in the hotel and dined in the restaurant a couple of times.
Nice place.
