cheers for the info Mark and will give the tenants your details, 2 things have just happened this morning, the threat of my legal action against EDF has prompted the closure of my false account and my reading of the riot act to the tenants has prompted them to fully settle their 36k debt with EDF, EDF offered me £50 for the "inconvenience" i politely told them to stick it where the sun don't shine, must have wasted a whole day in total in resolving it finally

£50 is a good start.

I got £250 from Scottish Power for a balls up once. And that was non work related.

The best is £24k back for a client from British Gas.

blimey 24k that's a good result, i refused the EDF offer of £50 as they wanted to close my complaint down if accepted, so i told them to carry out a full investigation and report thus leaving me the the option to still instigate legal action if no reasonable response, going to create a real stink with them now and see how they like it, bloomin tossers

The 24k was a great result as it was for a school who had to cancel school trips and work on the school because of BG holding onto their money.
So I named and shamed on LinkedIn and voila.
money got return. With interest and compensation.
And an apology. Which was the hardest thing of all to get.

I felt the same for a millisecond, but quickly got over it and thought fair enough.

Sign of the times......means more to some in England, than the rest of the Uk-where the Royals mean very, very, very little.

And don’t get me started on Andrew.

Gove found to be unlawful in giving his Brexit mate £560,000 contract, I’m taking bets on what happens next;
A. he gets the sack
B. he does the right thing, says sorry & resigns
C. nothing
D. everyone gets distracted by a photo taken down after 8 years.

And there's another 3 week lock down too!

Sensationalist headline as usual though

If you read the link they bought the picture in 2013 to decorate a common room then 10 of them then voted to take it down, it wouldn't have even been the same students that put it up , looking at the headline you'd think the whole university voted to have a picture taken down that had been revered since 1953

I hate driving since lockdown ended, town roads are still quiet because many are still working from home but the motorways are a nightmare since the sun came out, I'm dreading the school holidays if people are still on furlough

lets go out for the day

we'll start by arriving at the end of the sliproad at 45mph expecting everyone to get out of our way then we'll accelerate to 61 mph and because there might be a truck in lane one 5 miles ahead we'll just sit in lane two , unless it's a smart motorway then lane three is the old lane two

If a van overtakes us we'll speed up to 70 mph because his van is probably limited to 70 so after a mile or so he'll give up as the moron is blocking the whole motorway.

No wonder people don't care if they undertake anymore

Please remain calm in the face of Press-manufactured outrage over trivial nonsense. There is no journalism any more, just bait. The BBC should be ashamed of itself for even reporting it. There seems to be a particular agenda to publish sensationalised 'over-woke' stories in order to provoke 'counter-woke' outrage.

The Telegraph did a front page story the other day about how Oxford University was replacing its History degree with a De-colonisation degree. A few days later they published a tiny 'correction' accepting that what had actually been proposed was that de-colonisation might be one topic that History students might consider writing one of their weekly essays about.

I have come to believe that this type of behaviour is typically British, I have always thought the continental drivers are so much better, they have good lane control, maintain safe speeds and distances and seem to get around much better. Since moving here I find it the same, drivers are much more courteous and if your going quicker then them they move over to make too to pass. Certainly don't miss UK driving and when I do come back I just think WTF.

Obviously this doesn't apply to Dublin but that's Dubs for you ;)

It's normally taxi drivers in Lane 3 doing 65mph especially on the M23 in their 7 year old Prius... The batteries must be shot by now and just contributing to the pollution problem by being dead weight and difficult to recycle.

I read last year that Black Cabbies in London want the MOT rules changed to check the that batteries work on hybrids because a survey of some sort said that something like 80% of Prius's working in London for Uber have no hybrid abilities and therefore shouldn't be exempt the congestion charge.
