Well my Vreds have just been delivered and I have a 4 o'clock slot for them to be fitted, so I'll have grip again. (shame!)

I just dropped into a small petrol station to put some air in a tyre, as I have a slow puncture.
I went into the garage and asked the assistant, "Have you an air line here?"

The assistant replied, "No, but there is usually a bus every hour."

...err, is that strike one for me?

Many thanks for the comments Paul and TMH :D

As an aside, pirelli corsa tyres were mentioned in this thread earlier...

be aware that 1680 units manufactured by Pirelli between 01 Jun 2007 and 31 July 2009 have been recalled
due to fear of partial tread separation (at speeds of 168MPH plus for a prolonged period of time!)...
Sizes are: 285/35 ZR19 (99Y) K1 LEFT, and 285/35 ZR19 (99Y) K1 RIGHT

Not really, but sometimes. I compete in stock drag racing 1/4 mile @ 13.04 s/184 km/h. But they are road legal and quiet. I run at the medium hard version. I don't know the road milage they are capable for. I wear them out quickly with all burn-outs.

Not sure if I'd use those for road use, do you?

Aren't the Corsa tyres for Ferraris only?
