I guess i would want a system that makes best of the V8. I wont be using everyday but will be using on the motorway and long journeys so wouldt want it boooming......

Believe me one thing you dont get from the Larini is resonance or boominess , they are tuned to absolute perfection Andy, that research and development certainly pays off , with the tubi's i get a little at 2500 rpm , for around 300 revs and then it passes , at 50 plus its fine , but after driving the GS i would like the 4200 to be a bit more raucous through the gears

Dont mean to hijack the thread, but just seen this, purfect!

The only thing I would do on that is change the Alcantar seat inserts to a different colour, nothing too lairy and maybe add some carbon fibre trim.

If it was £10k less, I would be tempted.

Imagine seeing this in the rear view mirror, you would mess yourself!

That is such a stunning car, one of the best for sale, 70K for a car that was close to 100K new, only 16k miles.

Went to view this yesterday, the Spyder that is not the GT :)

First impressions were very good. Lovely colour combination and really stricking.

When driving noticed some hesitation in all gears around 3000-4000 RPM which worried me a little almost like a flat spot in the power band. Is this normal?

Also notice the Oil preasure gauge was at the highest figure 5 bar. is this correct as well.

On the up side its actually fitted with a Larini system not a Tubi so this is big plus for me, and sounds amazing as well!!

any feedback on thos two question would be much appriciated.

Andy, I've got an 04 model spyder but don't have any noticeable flatspots at any revs. However, if you bought it, you could treat it to a DMS remap which would probably sort it out! Also, when cold, the oil pressure in mine is at 5 bar at any revs. When hot (approx 88 degrees) the oil pressure falls to about 3 bars but registers 5 bars at anything over 2000rpm. However, my sender is starting to play up and when the ignition is turned on it indicates 3-3.5 bar and 5 bar when the engine is running at any revs at any temp, so if you drive it again, have a look at the gauge when the ignition is on and when the engine is running.

Thanks Benny

I noticed the dial reading 5 bar all the time. when standing and driving.

Ive got my eye on that DMS upgrade so will be one of the firsts things I buy for the car.

Andy, it sounds like you have made your mind up to buy it already! Take a look at the gauge before you next start it and if its giving a reading with the ignition on you can negotiate a discount or get them to fix it. Rumour says the sender is a bast.rd to change

Prefer a more interesting exterior color than silver, just think Blue or Red is more appealing.

I think I need to become more colour superficial! Although I now have my favourite 3200 colour, for me colour has always come secondary to whether it's the "right" car in terms of mileage, condition etc etc. In the past (in the era of 205 GTIs, Golf Mk2 GTIs etc) it meant that I used to often end up with white cars, when they were definitely out of favour.

Red definitely looks spot on for the Spyder though....
