I would be kicking their door down...... to start with. Ah I have just seen who did the ppi.To be fair I would be speaking with whoever did your inspection and the treatment given if not that long ago.

Everyone will have their own experiences good or bad. A ppi, treatment or service on the ground is never going to be that good.[
Any issues with said person???
Totally agreed the car needs to be on a proper lift and the wheels off for starters.Everyone will have their own experiences good or bad. A ppi, treatment or service on the ground is never going to be that good.
WBAC don't even drive them , as long as it starts and ticks over with all the dash lights out you're good to goWBAC or similar won't do any checks underneath, then at auction I'd imagine.
It never rains...it pours...
Had someone drive into my GT a few weeks back - honest chap who waited for me to return and exchange details. Finally got approval from his insurance to get mine repaired at Giallo (c.£6k) - also thought I'd sort a few bits whilst it's in.
Got a call yesterday saying there is a hole rotted in the subframe! Especially gutted as I had a PPI and subsequent treatment and prevention but it seems even that was not enough.
Trying not to lose the love currently.
Speaking with Eurospares and A.S about a replacement - any other places worth calling?
Who did the PPI? Just so anyone wanting to buy a Maserati can cross them off the list of companies to use!
But a treatment is not a cure? If it already had an issue, then treatment would only help slow it a bit. I guess once rust starts it is very hard to stop...It was Dale, he did identifty it needed urgent treatement which we did.
As above, it was on the ground to perhaps this is lesson that it is not 100%. I will have a chat with him and see where it goes. I have found a subframe so some positive.
Dear Santa...
My guess is the same guy that did the ppi, but I am happy to be proved wrong. But a treatment is not a cure? If it already had an issue, then treatment would only help slow it a bit. I guess once rust starts it is very hard to stop...

That’s a real pity.It never rains...it pours...

Exactly, so I'm not holding a grudge - it's 2008 so plenty if time for rot to set in!

You have to ask yourself though, would you have bought it if you knew the sub frame was rusted through already.

I thought the issue with the SFs is that they rust from the inside out, so challenging to see if it is there until it pokes out.
Is the company in the Netherlands not supplying these now?
That's what I thought.
You would have to bash the whole subframe with a rubber mallet to see if any holes appear!
I can't imagine a typical PPI doing that?
