Refurbished Suspension parts!

Hi,

In a effort to keep 3200 and 4200 on the road we've been working on replacement suspension parts. (we've had a number of customers take they're 4200's off the road due to lack of parts!)
At first we started with making tie-rods, then offering replacement bushings but since we exhausted our inventory of new control arms we've been working on fixing this issue.

This project has been going on for quite a while now but we're finally at a stage that we're nearly ready to offer a core exchange service. (at the moment we're only doing local/shop customers)

OK so now into the details:

Stock rebuild-able control arms are required as cores so the alloy piece can be recycled.
The ball-joints, special studs, bushings, boots are all replaced the alloy casting/forging is blasted and treated, if needed we've had made new tie-rod inserts bolt/nut combo's that are now zinc coated (this are the infamously seizing adjustment nuts)

A full rear suspension, pictured is also our rear tie-rods that we've been doing for a while now, those are available separately.

Front lower control arms are in the works too, as I'm shipping out my last new one, the upper ball-joint is still available
I expect to have refurbished lower front arms in stock with in a few months

GranTurismo/QPV is potentially also on the list here but that's not super high priority, eta a few months.

Also does one have to buy them as a complete set or can I come to you and just buy a replacement rear lower right arm on an exchange basis(?)

Great news, I have a small pile of worn out or broken 3200 arms here.
I'd be very interested in the worn ones, broken is useless.

As for pricing we're figuring out a base core exchange cost, the issue as with our sub-frames is varying cost of refurbish-able core parts.
I expect to have more cores and setup a exact costing next week, as we need to account for un-serviceable return items (we've had 3 "return" frames to bad to repair)

at the moment we've done a few sets, i have three cars in shop pending install.

I’ll get some sorted out.
This is one I removed last week.96633

What a shame I scrapped 2 rear wishbones just the other week that had been sitting around the shed for a rew years.

Have you come across any split/cracked units where the bushes have expanded too much?

I've not yet seen cracked aluminum ones, i do know for example on the rear the stud section and the original ball-joints axial play are the main weakness.
So much so that rear end curb damage snaps the stud in the knuckles or near the ball-stud of the joint.

I'll post up more pictures ether Friday or next week, it's a bit hectic in the shop with a few builds and a ton of small maintenance/MOT stuff
