Restoring faded grey plastic windscreen moulding

Whilst fixing my heater problems I removed the grey plastic moulding that sits at the bottom of the windscreen - it was badly faded and looked pretty awful. So before putting everything back together I did a search on how I might get some colour back and came across this hack...I tried it and it worked brilliantly...thought I would share for others to consider...

Holy sheet. I used to go through the painful process of spray painting my windscreen scuttle panels on some of my previous cars... this is much, much easier.

I wonder how long the rejuvenated finish lasts?

About the same time as it took to fade before. But then giving it a blow over every now and again, and it'll always be black.

I have tried that a few times most recently on the black plastic wheel arch trim my daughters mini.

Never managed to get it to work, but perhaps I didn’t get it warm enough for long enough.

This video is amazing

Probably a good idea to practice on something first before going full out on a Maser..

IIRC you can apply ceramic coating and it will work pretty well. Personally I would just take the panel off and respray it.
