Likewise! I bought a very well cared for 09 RR TDV8 Autobiography for that purpose. 150k miles for less than six grand. 18 months/18k miles later it has cost, a service, a couple of tyres, set of brakes and a lower arm; less than 2k spent. Polish it up and it doesn't look out of place next to all the 100k RRs at school sports. It makes me smile thinking about the depreciation I am not suffering. It will also take 4 of us six footers to Spa for the weekend in August in great comfort. We have an 09 RR which we throw everything in, including muddy dogs. In my head I had it valued at sub £10k but over here two people have offered my over €20k for it, problem is anything else that can do the same is the same money so might as well stick with the devil i know
I guess the key is to find one that has been services to schedule and issues dealt with - just like an older Maserati! Otherwise you could need to spend a few k putting it right first. fullfatrr forum may be a source of enthusiast owned cars.
