I joined the Supercar Driver outing leaving from Cambridge and taking the scenic route to Colchester Ferrari/Maserati for coffee and a nose a round at their stock. 12-15 cars made the drive, my Stradale started the journey on about 650 miles so not quite run in. We headed out of Cambridge and round the back of Newmarket and headed towards Clare for our first re-group stop, the Stradale handled the tight twisty roads very whilst making a very nice noise and made a good account of its self in some very good company......
We then headed out to Lavenham again on some very tight roads, it started to rain a little but as the tyres were quite warm it didn't put a foot wrong despite being in Race mode, we headed into the Town square going through some tight streets with the noise of the cars bouncing off the walls, I am sure the locals weren't too impressed with the early Sunday morning visitors!
After regrouping and a quick chat we headed off to Colchester, we found some very scenic tight roads and the Stradale again gave a good account of itself especially considering I was trying to keep the rev's under 5k, which I managed reasonably well
On arrival at Colchester we had a good look round and good catchup...
I then headed back home via a quick visit to Bishop Stortfold, in total I done about 175 miles and spent 4 1/2 hours in the seat and was really pleased with the car, very comfortable compared to the 991 GT3 it replaced. Clearly the Stradale handling was not up to the GT3 which is so capable(maybe too for the road), but was just as much fun in a different way.....
