Apparently there’s safety implications with stuff on the back seat!
Connect it to the isofix, or seatbelt points?

You can have that discussion with the Ms.Connect it to the isofix, or seatbelt points?

You can have that discussion with the Ms.
Why did you get rid of it?Loved mine and really miss it. It was an early standard car and a great way to travel between my homes in U.K. and France. Treat the rear seats as luggage space and that solves the joke boot problem. Looks are just epic and a dark colour with light interior works best IMO . Might buy a Centennial later this year when I’ve got some garage space as I miss it so much View attachment 111620View attachment 111621View attachment 111622
This is someone who has climbed the Eiger but won’t let me put a bag of shopping on the back seat!I meant the box, not the Ms.

Did you steal many bicycles?I cant stretch to a Sport. It be a pre facelift.
Boot and the general size of a GT/GC are the two things that put me off. You could get a bicycle in the boot of my e46.

Needed the space, wife has insisted on a 1 in 1 out rule for my fleet but mainly because I had to sell a few things including most of my organs that I have 2 of to buy this. A genuine Gelscoe FIA Appendix K certified GT40. If I thought the GC was impractical, this is on another level. Why did you get rid of it?
I’m on my third one, the F12 has all the electronics and more than enough power but I’m not entirely happy with the suspension. In sport too hard (with run flats) and in comfort too wallowy. The previous model was better in that regard and felt less heavy. It’s a very competent car though with enough space in the boot and you can sit 4 although I’m 6’3” and sitting behind me would be less comfortable. What do you think of your 6 series?

It’s interesting as the 650 has about the same power as my QPV, is about the same length and the same weight. It feels much heavier than the QPV though and runs harder over bumps, that’s probably the run flats. The QPV much more agile but the 650 much more solid feel with brakes etc. Chalk and cheese really despite the similarities in measurements and power. For pure driving I’d take the QPV any day. So a GranCabrio is not a bad idea if you don't need a boot. How have you found the 6 series. I’ve been looking at 640i and 640d to replace my Mercedes diesel for the daily slug to work. They seem great value at the moment over here.
No back seat and cubby fixed to floor I was thinking. Nice trident logo stiched in top. Perfick......Apparently there’s safety implications with stuff on the back seat!
Not knocking the BMW 6 series but have you ever been followed back and informed your car is a different class, happened to me in the Grancab a few years back by a chap in the 6 series, he was a top bloke .
With regards the OP question. I'd seriously consider the GranCab sport MY2012 onwards , plenty of stuff here on updates to suspension / gearbox updates, harmonised styling, engine tweek - all of which aid re-sale value.
I've never worried about the boot, more price of service and parts. Gave this response a few years back
History number one. Depending on age, check front discs have been changed (>mileage 30K) - Wheel bearings, don't pressure wash hub! - front suspension bushes/noise - Tyre depth and type, Michelins are excellent - check no rips in hood usually at rear quarter - Tyre pressure sensors should have been changed around 7 years, there are now cheaper aftermarket ones and the cam cover may leak.
Very reliable (honest) , needs to be garaged and on a trickle charger when not in use IMO - no issues with Engine and gearbox, but have heard occasional ancillaries can be problematic - air con (condenser) and alternator and the old battery!.
Still to see one and in the flesh, they are a world apart in terms of styling and noise, and an event on every single trip - waiting patiently for the first sunny day in April even after 8 years!
