Secondhand Formula Dynamics DBWEM

I've the opportunity to buy a secondhand FD DBWEM from the states for $500, less wiring loom. The seller advised that you can buy the wiring loom alone for $75 from Formula Dynamics. This sounds like a great deal to me, the module is set up already how I would like it (aggressive, more aggressive), and as it was fitted to a 04 4200, and mines a 02 4200, can't imagine any differences?
Anyway I emailed formula dynamics US, and they recommended their service of $250 to basically check it over and then receive an as new module with full support/loom/set up etc.

Has anyone any experience of using formula dynamics 'resale' service, or just getting a loom, although they did not advise whether they would be willing to supply a loom alone.

Yeah i bought a new loom from Noor (Performance Italia) for the DBW , he's excellent to deal with and the UK agent for FD products, but on the other hand jeff from FD has always operated to the highest standards but is a tad on the dear side

Mine wasn't a special order , it was a brand new one that was hanging about from his initial stock purchase he let me have it for £25 plus postage , but i should imagine they are a bit more than that

Thanks I'll see what he says.
If I have to go with with the resale service to get a loom, it's starting to not be as good a saving, $750 plus shipping and the possibility of import tax.
