I'm aware of the potential comments/jokes/generalisations this thread might provoke....

Myself and Mrs MAF shall mostly be in Manchester city centre this weekend. Does anyone have any recommendations/suggestions for secure overnight parking please?

The Lowry Hotel is supposed to be pretty safe. 5 star. Not been there though.

It looks grotty but I’ve parked without problem overnight in the University car park on Charles Street. San Carlo is interesting for dinner if you like football and all the associated stuff that goes with it.

Obviously take an umbrella.

I am not sure any of the car parks I have used are “secure” in that pedestrians can access them on foot and cars by buying a ticket.
The underground car park at the Renaissance hotel Deansgate is caged and locked and only hotel guests can use it, but it’s a grotty hotel.

Having said that, between 2007 and 2017 I parked my Jaguars and my DB7 and the GTS in various car parks all over the city with no problem at all.

Even better, drop it off at Autoshield and Marios will give it the love and attention a Maserati deserves, whilst you enjoy the weather and all the pills, thrills and bellyaches on offer.

Where are you staying MAF?

there used to be a decent secure garage attached to the Malmaison, or to the Midland… however I always used to park in the underground car park attached to our office in Manchester..

Thanks for the suggestions (and comments )

I'll likely take the RR as it should just about have enough boot capacity for the variety of shoes I will be told are essential for the weekend. Mandatory brollies are on the packing list - thanks BB!

JonW - hotel is close to Piccadilly. I used to stay at the Malmaison a lot; I rarely drove, but from memory they use the NCP next door which had very tight spaces and never seemed very secure.

A Range Rover is more likely to be nicked in Manchester than a Maserati...
Tis true

I've used the Q park on first street when visiting the bridgewater hall , modern, well lit, roller shutter door and ticket access to get in , good size spaces, wide central ramp

I wouldn’t worry too much. I’m from Manchester and had no issues leaving my cars out (Maserati, Porsche, Audi etc.) Just find one that’s close to the hotel and you’ll be okay.

Home from a great few days away, Manchester never fails to deliver.

I parked in the Q-Park in Piccadilly Place - clean, well-lit, underground, decent sized spaces and seemed quite secure. I didn't pre book and was pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive it was to park there for 2 nights/3 days. Ended up taking the Mrs' BMW which averaged 63mpg - more than twice the RR could manage and five times the typical figures I see from the Bentley!
