Just been reminded of this one as my son wanted the photo for the abrasive disk training he is doing today. It was truly shocking and thankfully nothing long term except my eye does get tired on long days/drives.

I still get fantastic discount on tyres for the family! And he is a good friend too. I dropped in on him earlier and he limped out to see me; turns out yesterday he was under a car adjusting the tracking when an old bloke & Mrs in their 80’s pulled into the almost empty bay next to him. He parked the car on his ankle! In the panic of screams, he got confused, got out of the car and broke down in tears. One of the team VERY quickly got a trolley jack under the car! Luckily no broken bones.

Sounds to me that the owner/operator is completely ignoring his H&S responsibilities.
To produce basic safe systems of doing the things that need to be done onsite and ensuring
that he and his employees follow those safe systems.
I'd be very surprised if there isn't a serious accident or death, in the near future.

Given it was 11 years ago, maybe not that near in the near future

And if you do ever have a personal injury claim, be aware the limitation period in which to bring a claim is only 3 years rather than the usual 6 years for claims for contractual damages

lol - I never looked at the date of the thread, assumed this happened last week.

Note to self - pay more attention to the detail

Ditto. Sounds like the garage owner ought to be nicknamed 'Lucky'!
I'm amazed that he's lasted this long.
Does he do lottery tickets?

I do understand that if bits of something foreign were sticking out of one's eyeball
then one might be slightly vexed. But its not really worth a warning for the squeamish.
This (below) is the kind of thing that you might find, just possibly puts you off your cooked
breakfast with fried tomatoes & black pudding. If you were a particularly delicate flower.

In my experience. This is the launch pad for a hundred hilarious and increasingly sick jokes.
(and its only a prop for the Bullingdon Club. Its not a real body)
Did you see that severed hand twitch?
