Servicing Quotes

Just had the following quote from Lancaster Maserati Colchester for servicing my 4200 Coupe.

For the larger service, which is a 31.5k service and requires the spark plugs to be changed, retail price for the service is £1,725.00, however, if your car is over 3 years old it qualifies for their Club Trofeo which means discounts on service. The service would cost £1,350 inc vat. Alternatively, an annual service is £675 inc vat.

Any thoughts?

Omar

If Lancaster Colchester is your nearest main dealer, then Roberto of Grimaldi Engineering is just up the road in Halstead , pretty sure Roberto would be half that amount for servicing , and you could save even more by buying the parts yourself first from Eurospares which is only 50yds from his workshop across the road , and if i know Rob he'll have some exciting stuff in to keep you amused normally a blisytering array of all things italia to look at and his missus makes a dynamite cup of coffee

....

Not sure if this has been mentioned, and sorry it's off topic, but kudos to your username! Omar Little is certainly one of TV's best charachters and The Wire one of the best ever shows.

If someone could PM me any quotes they've had as well that would be great.

I spoke to Grimaldi and the cost was £718 all inc for an annual service on a 4200 (fluids and filters + a all round check). So the Lancaster price is very good in comparison.

Dick Lovett were cheaper at £650.

I'm still ringing around. I've tried sportscarhub, but haven't had much follow up as yet but no doubt the phone will start ringing soon.

Just gave Grimaldi a call for a quote for my looming 25k service. What friendly folk! No price yet but I'm interested to see how they stack up against Lancaster. One point which Lancaster made was that their service prices are fixed and include all service parts, fluids etc etc. They've heard horror stories that some of the cheaper main dealer quotes exclude some service items, so it's worth making absolutely certain that quotes are fixed and you know exactly what you're getting. Blindingly obvious to many of you I'm sure, but I figured a service quote would be fixed... perhaps not necessarily!
