Imagine this.

Detention after school is over.
Walking down School Lane ...not a prefect in sight, past the school tuck shop and the door swings gently open.
Rows of Jamboree Bags, Viscount biscuits and 3d Cadbury's Dairy Milk bars catch the eye.
Beads of seat line the furrowed brow, palms itch and the heart begins to thump.
Surely not .... it's all just so easy to pop in and enjoy.
But, NO, just wait ..the best things in life come to those who wait.

It's just like that again.
In just over thiteen hours time, I have served my time, I have not given in to temptation, the temptation of 390BHP V8 waiting for me on the drive; waiting for the pilot to regain his rightful seat; amid the leather and opulence of the best from Maserati.
Yes, Mark will shortly be behind the wheel again.
The ban is nearly over and tomorrow I am free again, free to enjoy the rare delights of Italy's best. Free to take my place behind the wheel and to listen to those glorious horses let loose again.

Well, it hasn't been so long and worth the wait.
A fully-fledged Maserati driver again.
Phew.

Jesus that went quick , great stuff Mark , bet you have been like a watch kettle for the last week , hope you have already done the honours and prepped the hot lady ready for tomorrows big occasion , i'll be thinking of you at first light tomorrow moisturising that grin , we wouldn't want add any extra laughter lines now would we

The morning my detention ended I was driving towards the M6 from Nantwich and I passed the black rat that got me banned. He was parked in the same layby, in the same car. Good job I was taking my time for once! B4stard.

A rat on the motorway holding a camera clocked me doing 100mph i saw him too late, as i went by he was looking at me....christina said he def got me.....that was 10 months ago....something went wrong.....

that's exactly how it felt .... but actually rather better as I know the car so could enjoy it for all its little foibles.
Actually it was fantastic.
Thank you all, again.
The words, 'feeling', 'two tails', 'with', 'dog', and 'like a' spring to mind.
Had nowhere special to go, so just drove and drove.
She (the Italian girl) loved every sweet moment though was clearly distressed that I kept to the limits.
Shall we go out again tomorrow? Well shall we?
OK.

Actually when I came back, I did tell my wife that I'd been flashed by a speed camera.
Didn't raise a smile for some reason!!!!
