looks like the wheels are falling off the GME movement. Shame, really enjoyed watching that play out and good on them. with the platforms being blocked and the CNBC dodgy reporting, it does just show how it's all rigged.

I've always been hesitant to call the markets fixed but this is blatant and I'm fully in for whatever repercussions happen. It's manipulation in plain sight. How some of the largest platforms can halt buying but allow selling only, then claim its to minimise risk is beyond me. Interesting AOC, Cruz, Musk, all on the same page on investigating and how much traction this has got.

I also messaged 212 and their response was pathetic so gone back to ask for their legal rep to respond addressing a few points and also lodged a complaint with the FCA. I've not lost much, but the principle behind it has really irked me. Watching what's happening with Robin Hood with interest!

@Wattie Where's the best place for gold.... :D

It’s an awful industry - full of cheats, sharks and charlatans.

Utterly disgraceful, I agree ...
Froddy what happened today was pure and simply a crime. Suspending trading on individual accounts whilst allowing institutions to fully trade was a blatent manipulation of stock prices.
Everything is now laid bare for those who couldn't see it before.

As someone pointed out today, when AOC and Trump are on the same page you know you’re in the wrong...
Wife only lost £50, but she’s keeping in on BB and NOK.
Lawsuit already filed with the FDNY.
It’s been fascinating as a share lurker. Gutted I didn’t drop some cash with the oil companies when COVID lockdown descended; they were always going to come back if not to their earlier positions, certainly from their lows.

Thinking of getting it though, wife uses Trading212 but considering they haven’t covered themselves in glory, any other recommendedations?

One thing I’ll say (having watched manipulations for years) is don’t expect to be recompensed at all........any inquiry will take months/years.

Eventually, Smack on wrist to the perpetrators , fine issued far less than trading profits gained, nothing to see her.

The WallSt rinse and repeat cycle is bulletproof.

(What happened today was coordinated from the top and they don’t punish themselves).

Neckbeard credit card scammers showing off to one another?
This nonsense adds more credence to Wall Streets we must “regulate crypto” and end it.
The casino must remain rigged and in control of the game.

Where does he fit into his chart though also being an "educator"? I guess he's positioning himself as providing "smart money" education? And he has no COI?

Eb
Yes, you're right - he's probably at it too!

I just thought it was very interesting to learn how the brokers operate, and very pertinent to the current scandal ...

Turns out it's not just that rather dismissive turn of phrase. My wife's been trying to buy some Doge; other crypto markets might be a wise option now that Tesla has got into Bitcoin and sent prices rocketing. That's probably what's driving this – great value in other crytpos at the moment, I guess.

I'm sticking with BB, though NOK – and the long-term reasons behind it – is interesting

I think you misunderstood me. I’m fine with crypto but Wall St isn’t who constantly state it’s used for illegal purposes (pot calling the kettle black!)

Rocketing prices on coins like DOGE (established for a joke with no software updates since 2015!)) lead bankers etc to state they need heavily regulated to protect vulnerable investors.

By the way, hedge funds are massively short Bitcoin.......any bets this'll be next on the Robinhood armies target list and the price wil rocket!!!!!!

It’s got Musk’s help.......via tweets!

Ha, sorry I was referring to my own neck beard comment. I wrote that just as my wife revealed she was in for some Doge :)

Keep your eyes on this too:

A word of caution, though. I think there’s a real risk that this craze/scandal could be the catalyst to crash the markets. I said this at the start.

Metals will likely crash if there’s a flight to safety into the dollar. The higher the metals go, the harder they may fall.

Go light on positions ...
