Urby, a 74 year old nutter of this parish, is cycling from London to Valencia starting on the 1st October. It’s a 1,135 mile slogathon to raise funds to find a cure for kidney disease. He has a young family member suffering from said disease, and he’s having a last hurrah to try and help her condition. He then suggested we can try and raise funds for Ryan’s charity, which is also the forum’s charity of choice. For those of you who don’t know, Ryan was my son who died of osteosarcoma when he was 18 years old. Osteosarcoma is a b4stard of a disease that affects the very young and very old, and is tough to cure. The Bone Cancer Research Trust (BCRT) is dedicated to finding a cure, and if it stops another family going through what we went through, trust me it’s worth every penny. So, if any of you feel like supporting a, yet another, worthy cause then pm me and I’ll give you the details. There might be an event coming up that any petrol head would love to attend, so watch out for that. There will be a charge for attending but all proceeds will go straight to the BCRT. Hopefully, I will have confirmation next week. Thanks for reading this. Regards.

Hmmmmmmm Silly Old Bugger
Benny is like Marmite - You either love him or hate him. Personally, I love him because you know what you are getting........... a total A...hole. What's great about him though is he does not pretend to be anything else. In all seriousness though he has heart of gold. Nobody should have to experience the pain and sorrow of what he and his better half have had to endure since losing their fabulous son. I cannot think of anything worse. I was lucky enough to meet Ryan several times at the Ace Cafe and unlike his dad you would have been hard pressed to find a negative thing to say about him. It would be an honour for me to fund raise for Bone Cancer Research Trust in his memory and I hope you will all join me in helping to find an answer to this awful cursed disease or at least a more positive outcome for others.
I hope to be able to post a Just Giving link very shortly.

Benny we love you !!! ------------Or at least I do x

Hi guys. The JustGiving page is very nearly ready and it will be posted on this thread when it is. For those petrol heads amongst, I have arranged for Gav, a good friend of mine, to bring along his new T50 to the September Ace meet. These cars are going to be seldom seen on the road, so be amongst the first to get up close and personal. As it’s in support of the charity fund raiser, I’d like to go with £20/head from forum members if that’s ok. We’ll pass around the bucket to try and tap up the other car guys that usually attend on the same night. This is based on his car being delivered before the 14th. If it isn’t, I’ll ask if he can bring a suitable stand-in, and you won’t be disappointed if he does.
