Ok, we have a problem, both Ville D'est and The Crowne Plaza are unable to accommodate us on the 6th, so it looks like we will have to shift it to the Saturday before (29/11) or the one after (13/12)

Ill update you all including everyone on the list already by email as to the new date. If you would like to update your availability below, it would help:

Newton has been on the phone, he has got us Leeds Castle.

£85 per head 3 course BANQUET inc table drinks then payed bar.
Rooms, they have 20 @£200 for each room, I assume this inc breakfast.

Its a castle all to ourselves and ok it is a bit pricey and we may have to organise our own music, and it is down in the South East, but they can accommodate us on the 6th.

We could of course look for a smart hotel near the Castle and not actually stay there????

What do you all think?

OK, I have had a few texts and PM's, seems Leeds Castle is too expensive and too far.

I will try and stick to the 6th and find a new hotel and restaurant, anyone have any suggestions around the North or West of the M25, please feel free to put it forward.

No problem, just thought I'd see if it was available, it is a bit more than I'm really comfortable with. I don't have a problem with heading further out towards Oxford or Reading even. Would prefer to keep the 6th if possible though

Ok, The Crowne Plaza in Reading has availability and can offer us the rooms for the 6th.

Its 1 mile from the town centre and I accept that Reading is not as beautiful as Marlow but I have been assured that its the same feel and quality as the Marlow hotel, and its also by a lake.

Free parking, double or twin with breakfast and use of the leisure facility @£85
Single occupancy £75

She is going to give me a pre paid (pay upfront no cancellation) price which will be about £10 cheaper per room.

What do we all think?

Reading don't bother me (not the best but still), we all agreed on Edmonton Karts though? The Reading one we did the first year was not as good as Edmonton

I'm happy with the 6th wherever it is, next been to Reading and by all accounts, I've not missed out. (sorry Maverick)

Room location doesn't bother me as won't be staying but more importantly where is the meal location?

People will say I only picked it as it wasl ocal to me....

There are some lovely Greek and Italian restaurants here.....some lovely country hotels and chain hotels.....let me know if anyone fancies around Enfield/Herts border

Ok, the Plaza Reading have offered us £70 for a twin or double with breakfast and use of leisure facilities, which is amazing.

Maverick, over to you for the restaurant.
