As soon as they're here, Dave. If the wait is too much for you, please let me know and I'll refund you in full. There are 50 people behind you in the queue who'll happily take your set.

I make that £74,600 saved for members, Mark.

That's a couple of decent GS's and a top quality Spyder's worth of cash in members pockets and maybe a few safer cars out there as members don't need to run their discs to the ragged edge.

Hats off to you, Sir.

Update time. I've had various conversations over the past week trying to get to the bottom of what's going on. I have spoken to the MD of the motor factors and today I had a long conversation/moan to the MD of the manufacturers. In short, somebody messed up the order at the beginning which has created the delay. They appear to have tried to gloss over the error and therefore I've been getting little/poor information since.

I have copied the body of the email I received today from the MD below:

Dear Mark,

With reference to our earlier conversation.

We are very sorry regarding the extended delivery delay of the initial stock. The order was given to us by you last November, but it looks like we underestimated the development time required for both part numbers. The discs are now in production and will be shipped to your delivery point around the 20th May, the order will be complete.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding, but because these particular references are high carbon specification, together with the other requirements this has also added to the delay.

I have copied in Graeme and Clive who will ensure Neil is kept up to date.

Best regards,

I'm not happy about the further delay - I have 2 cars which need these discs - but there's nothing that can be done at this stage to speed up the delivery. It's now being closely monitored at the very top of the company, so I have been given assurance that the date now provided is absolute. They have offered to help with the distribution of the discs from London, so I will do my very best (hopefully with the help of a few members on here) to get them to everyone as quickly as possible. I will not place the second order until we have taken delivery of the first and are completely satisfied.

My apologies to everyone who is waiting for these, please be assured I am doing my very best to complete the order and have our cars fitted with shiny new upgraded brake discs that cost a fraction of the OEM versions! Subsequent orders will take significantly less time to complete as there will be no development time included.

If anyone is unhappy with the above and wants a refund please contact me directly by PM and I will refund you in full immediately.

Happy to hold discs here in Bristol for any SW collection as I am WFH quite a bit. Also travel by car to London so can assist with stock collection too.

Thanks for the update Mark. No worries about the delay, these things just happen. Your time and effort spent on this project is really appreciated. We will all just apply a little bit less brake in the next few weeks...

I'm not in the slightest bothered by the delay. We're on a winner regardless.:thumbup:
As for pads, yes a lot of products to choose from and many more opinions of which is best.

Would like to have them now but oh well, patiently waiting, no problem and definitely not your fault :)
Thank you for all your work and dedication on getting us great discs at an excellent price and giving the finger to Maserati and their overpriced discs ahaha

Thanks for the update, no worries about the date mine will last that long and it also means I can delay the clutch change until then which will give me time to save my pennies.

No problem with the date, my car has only 20k on from new in 02 so these are simply for future use, thanks for your efforts on these too good to miss discs...

Thanks a lot Mark once again! I understand very well also it has not been your fault and this s..t could happen to anyone. Production is a tough job and can take you out of the program easily. .

Thanks for the comments, everyone. It's out of my hands, but I'm responsible to everyone who has trusted their money to me. I'm sure it will be worth the wait given the upgrade over OEM and the savings. I will contact everyone via PM over the next week to get a picture of where all these discs need to end up. Aside from covering most of the UK, we have orders from across Europe, the U.S. and Australia. I'll record it in the spreadsheet I've used to stay on top of things and then hopefully work out a way of using our member network to move them around the country (and France - thanks, Drew!). This should minimise carriage costs for everyone.

Does anyone on here have access to a good courier rate we could utilise for those that will want/need them posted? Total weight of 4 discs will be c.40 kilos.
