Something to line the door with

I'm replacing the window regulator and while at it I want to replace the sound deadening material under the interior door panel. The sheet had been cut and ripped and looked generally poor. I've been looking online and all I can fine is adhesive sheets that seem to come in small squares. The stuff I took off was not fully stuck on, it was stuck with mastic around the outside. There doesn't seem to be a part for this on Eurospares so I was wondering if anyone had any recommendation?

I suppose you could use a self adisive floor protector comes in a roll. About a foot and a half wide. Made for walking on so reasonably strong.

Nick - have a look for lightweight Dynamat. I'm bought a large pack to do my GS with when the weather improves. I'm hoping it'll diminish the drone (not Benny!) at 2-3k revs - interior is coming out and it'll go on the floor and bulkhead. If there's enough I'll do the doors as well. There's 48 sq feet so should be enough!

I think a 12 bore is the only thing that would diminish the Benny drone...

Ok so Dynamat it is, thanks all.

I had the same issue in the Spider. I used the green double sided tape I got from Halfords, it worked a treat, it's bodyshop trim tape but I use it for number plates.

I am having an SL500 soundproofed before the new sound system goes in. Have used it on a variety of vehicles. It works really well, but be aware the weight increase.

With MAF on this one. Strip out and get the whole car sorted. It is the only way to get the full benefit.
