Was toying with idea of adding spacers to the Grancab, so checked in with insurance company to find they will not cover them. Guess looking for new insurer come renewal time.

I reckon if you told them you fitting a new sprocket cos last one came off trunnion they said 'not covered' I wouldn't expect a kind of Spanish Inquisition though....

Haha. They had no clue what I was on about and had to go find an adult. I reckon they just went "no" to get me to go away

It's not worth losing your house, keep your head down and just keep it original...

As our old mate says, no one expects the Spanish Inquisition!

I've fully declared all mods with Admiral, spacers included. Increased premium by £200. Worth it for that peace of mind.
Might move to NFU when renewal is up next year, as Admiral wouldn't touch my Supercharged R8 :(

Declare the mods- you’ll be surprised. It made little or no difference to my premium, it might even have been less . They explained by saying they see you as taking pride inthe ownership which in turn means taking care of condition and maintenance which makes you a better risk...
Bikers do it all the time. It’s not a new concept to the insurance world....;)

The GT in all forms has to have spacers with OE wheels, otherwise it's an E type replica! Get it done! :thumb3:

Depends if you can see it or not especially as an MOT is only a visual inspection looking at the whole vehicle.
must admit I was seriously tempted especially if still legal and if done properly visual inspection wouldn't pick it up either, but just couldn't live with the thought of XR knocking on my door and/or lundstrom or what ever her name is;)
