Spare wheel location

Does anyone actually have the Maserati spare wheel in a Grancabrio? Having tripped over it once too often, the good lady has finally given me an ultimatum, put it in the car or sell it. Looking at my boot I can't see anywhere obvious other than the location that seems to be full of tracker bits and other electrical gubbins. Scuderia have a compartment for it, but its £1200!!!!! ( part 21). I've always thought for some reason that it half sits in a well, half sticks out into the boot, although I've not actually seen anything that supports that.

Does it not stand up vertically once you remove the boot floor? Mind does the GC have a boot once a spare wheel is in it? I guess you need nice soft bags that can be seat belted inot the rear seats.

Yes , that's what I recall, but can't actually find any images of it online without losing hours of my life trying to find them.

TBH I've never seen a GC or GT with a spare tire like a QPV has.
The handbrake isn't the issue it's the battery that would make it impossible, that said GT/GC where supplied with the tire repair kit (canister)

If you where to fabricate something you'd get that very impractical hump that was in 4200GT Spyders with the spare wheel

I don't think anyone has, yet it's on the parts schematics and I have one, just can't travel with any sort of luggage if I chuck it in lol.

I think some of the Leftpondians have them. In fairness to them it is possible to be some hours drive from mobile signal and AAA assistance, but......

That could be Cornwall..... or parts of the M6 with no signal ;)
Looks like I'll be selling it then!

Well if you're driving for some hours on the M6 (without mobile coverage) I suspect you won't be alone ;) but I stand to be corrected

That to me sounds like a typical lost in translation/meaning which is rather common the service manuals are filled with it so are diagrams (Italian > English)
