you can get a Koenigsegg CCXR 1:18 model by Autoart, £169,99. i have seen it in the shops and looks amazing but £170 on a model car is potty.

Hi Guys,
Received what I assume was my gift yesterday morning ( came in a unmarked box without any note inside ) Anyway it was a rechargable inspection lamp and wow very bright! It will be great for working on the interior of the car as there will be no dirty leads getting dragged over my seats, or getting jammed in the doors etc. Therefor I will keep it clean for that very purpose. Much appreciated guy's and once again thankyou all!
Regards
Keith

Sorry Keith, should have thought to put a note in, but good that you've confirmed receipt and I hope it proves useful. Congratulations again. :)

Hi everyone,
Since restarting proper work last October after being out in research for two years (and hence the previously fairly regular forum posting) I've not had the chance to contribute to the forum, but logged on today as my 3200 (which has been running perfectly now for 18 months and 15,000 miles - for those naysayers who doubt the 3200!) spat all its coolant out on the A1 and had to be towed to a garage (don't know yet if it's a hose, jubilee clip, or knowing my luck the entire radiator). I was about to search using the terms 'replacement' and 'radiator', and came across this:

Most useful how-to.

Sitting firmly in our excellent technical section, any award rewarding those whose expertise have built this library is important and as such it is only right that I should mention all those who's efforts have been recognised in forum nominations.

So between the impressive efforts of Matt, Loz, Predator and Cowsurgeon I'm delighted to offer....

Congratulations to Jagpurr. :clapps: Truly helpful time-saving and cost saving fix-its. Kudos.

Which put a big grin on my face - I know I didn't win, but it feels cool to have a mention - thanks guys!

Now, back to that search for info. on replacement radiators.....

Welcome back Chris, but sorry to hear of the circumstances. Annoyingly I too have just today had my cooling system decide to play games. Drove over a discarded wing mirror on the M1 and it seems like it's caught something. Got home and the radiator fan wouldn't turn off without disconnecting the battery. Further investigations to come! Hope your problem turns out to be a jubilee clip rather than a radiator!

Good to hear the nominations brought a smile and certainly deserved.

Chris it will be your upper flange on your radiator that has let go, or the pipe matrix under the plenum.

If you have had a cam belt change in the last 6 months I would bet my bottom dollar its the rad flange.

Whip it out and take it to an old school rad firm to be soldered up and preferably, have a stengthening brace welded on to it (the flange)

Welcome back fella!

Also have you had the aircon re gassed lately?

If so it could just be that the pipe on the base of the header tank has been pulled off, very common as you have to pull the header tank out of the way to get to the aircon filler valve.

Miles there used to be a thread on this somewhere , was quite common a few years back , think it was usually the temp sensor or possibly the relay ,

Lets hope its an easy fix for you Chris , great to see you back
