Sportsmaserati search on Google

Matt, members, just did a check search for ourselves on Google to find us on the 3rd page, anything we can do to improve this give our current pre-eminence in the world of Maserati internet forums?

As I hadn't actually searched for the above term.....then my initial post above was wrong........had just searched for Maserati!

I just put sportsmaserati into Google and we came up every entry on the first page?

What terms are you using?

Apols....just plain Maserati.......assuming this is what other simple searches would consist of.......the other forum comes up on the first page

I see. Well, its a time thing. We have only been around a year and a half. Longer established sites will always rank higher.

I have been getting probs on my phone and every phone ive used this weekend using the site.....

Dem we are aware of this. Once we get this big Panasonic job out of the way we will have a bit more time to look at this.

I also seem to get it when I am on a 3G network. Its to do with simultaneous connection. With WiFi you are all connecting under an individual IP address. When you are on 3G, you are all connecting under the same IP address. Our server is heavily secured down and it interprets this as an attack...someone constantly pinging the server trying to brute force their way in.

But I accept this is very annoying and it will be remedied, along with the hours time difference on the posts vs sidebar recent posts.

Frank , when i google using firefox i use the term maserati forums , sportsmaserti comes at the top of the listing on the first page

This is also true with Google through Safari.

Good work on the Apache issue Matt; it is a 3G android I cannot get past the Apache page on.

Just checking out the Maserati UK club site and their links page, found a link to the new Irish Maserati club ( see other thread), but no sign of a link to us, nor the other forum

I know they know about us.

They have a link to an Italian forum......whats that about?!

If I did that I would be a rich man, it's not about the money, it's about the passion. Money and forums don't go together see where MF is today if you don't believe me!

Seriously though this forum personally costs me about £2k a year and what I get back in pleasure more than makes up for any financial outlay.
