I wrote to the factory to get some idea about the numbers of Spyder GT vehicles that were produced.
The information provided is quite interesting:
In 2003, Maserati sold twelve RHD Spyder GT (MY03) in the UK. (This model year is pre-facelift, but does include the updates to vehicle structure, the glass rear window, V8 badges etc - so it is the rarest variant)
My car is painted Grigio Alloy which is also known as Argento Luna, and Maserati confirm that mine is the only Spyder GT in this colour in the UK. (CC numbers are not included) Moreover there is a total of just seven Spyder GTs worldwide in this colour! The other six vehicles are equipped with different interior fittings compared to mine, so my car really is unique.
In total worldwide, Maserati sold 565 Spyder GTs of all model years including both left- and right-hand drive.
These are rare beasts!
