I agree, but the Merak is a cheap bit of classic fun.

what i dont like about the merak is those handle things on the bonnet, on the Bora it is a glass clamshell but on the Merak it is like they couldn't be bothered to put the glass in. With those handle things the Merak as, it looks like a pick up truck.

Dont get me wrong, I lust after the Bora, I would have one, but for the cost of the **** thing!

They start in the current climate for around £50k for a decent on, rising to £75k for the best examples. Concours examples would go for more.

Robin/Team GCR is the man to ask.

Me I like both, great design with the Bora and well adapted with the Merak.

But the Merak does make a cheaper purchase but maintenance isn't necessarily any less.

But lovely svelte lines on these babies.....

Yep agree....The Merak does seem like a good value classic......
