It’s all been kicking off down here, the garage in question have the same SO50 7DD postcode as SportsItalia so for the record this is not us.

We have had police turning up all day to ours.

A lockup down the road had 4 Ferraris Inc a SF90 all stolen via the keyless entry method.

So glad nearly all our cars with the exception of Ghibli and Levante have physical keys.

Yes, seen a few Stelvio thefts via the radar. Thankfully the AC and, even more so, the 348 are old school.

What I don’t understand is why manufacturers don’t include a physical switch on the key fob to allow owners to turn them off.

That article reads more like the the cars were stolen from elsewhere and recovered from that unit?

Keyless. One of the lads at work said that some Teslas don’t have a key but work from an app on your phone. Apparently outdoorsy types often get locked out while they’re wild swimming or whatever they get up to in places with no phone reception.

Is this true or is he making it up?

I've always tried to dissuade the fbook group from retro fitting keyless entry via an app on their phone. The pitfalls and increased insecurity risks are just too great. Being permanently locked out due to dodgy installation or software corruption, to your car not being there after you've parked it in a public car park.
Like others said, it's an invention that wasn't needed and people are being told that they need it, as it saves a microsecond of their vain lives.

You can unlock your tesla with your phone but they also come with a credit card back up that slips into your wallet and can be used at airport carparks etc. The phone signal is bluetooth though so not governed by phone signal. There is also an optional extra car key. I think you can also use a smart-watch for the wild swingers erm I mean swimmers

Keyless entry is something I would always stay away from. Waste of time and truly lazy. Another car invention that wasn’t needed … Along with touch screens in cars. Horrid…
Had it on the Ghibli and Levante. Turning it off was one of the first things I did when I got the car home.

How difficult is it to press a button.

You use your phone app or there is an emergency credit style card that is basically a proximity card
