Proper nightmare. At least you had it listed as a Stradale with the insurance......:happy2:

If only!

I hope you see it again soon, otherwise it's probably better to never see it again. Who know what they're up to with it.

Just catching up on this one now....really sorry to hear and hope dealing with the insurance company and all related issues isn't too painful. Main thing is that you and your family are all safe/unharmed. The cars are just pieces of metal to get you from A>B and can be replaced. I don't hide keys for this reason. If they want it they can take it. I don't leave my keys on display or easily accessible so they can be fished out through the letterbox but they don't go to bed with me either. They are insured and is the reason we have insurance. An insurance company won't thank you or be eternally grateful for being a hero.

The amount of cars I have at the moment they would need a bl**dy car transporter!

As all have said if I here anything or see anything you will be the first to know.

Apart from the car transporter......+1! Will keep an eye out in my neck of the woods.

Just out of curiosity, what is the subscription cost on the tracker fitted in these cars?
Does anyone know if they where installed in all cars or just the uk market models?

I recall it was several hundred pounds, and in my case, it put my premium *up*

Newton,

I don't know if you spotted among the many shares of your Facebook post that a mate of mine in the Met based at Barking has also shared this among his Met colleagues. He has also included it in the morning briefing so that they are all aware and keeping an eye open for it parked up somewhere. Fingers crossed for you mate!

Nothing makes much sense with insurance

I know somebody with a MK2 escort that barely has any original parts, weighs nothing with a 2.0 zetec engine in and is stupid fast , he insures it fully comp with all mods declared and an agreed value for £140 a year.

Newton, what a shocking story. I'm glad you and your family are safe, but what an ordeal. I hope you managed to sleep last night.

Depends on which tracking company

The Vodafone Tracker (they bought CobraTrak I believe) - £330 per annum for a CAT 5
Tracker (the original) - £199 per annum for a CAT 5

I have the pleasure of both on a Maserati and yet to be revealed beast. Fitting about £1000.

Sorry to read this, scary to have someone in the house whilst you are sleeping and of course the loss of the cars - just terrible.

Houses are easy to get into (if you have a mind to) so unless we all live with grills and shutters we are all vulnerable.

I have Visible CCTV (which I like to thinks acts as a deterrent) I also park the cars so they need to be manoeuvred off the drive with a least a couple of shunts which makes a quick silent getaway difficult and a thick gravel drive make it difficult to push the cars off.

Hope you get sorted real quick and the cars turn up undamaged.

This is what came as standard in the Ghibli. It has taken a while to get everything sorted. The third person that I spoke to eventually thought to check the batteries in the driver cards as they weren't being recognised.

Same for me - 2 weeks and constant warnings. I asked the obvious question: should the key fob flash. The silence was stunning.

The fobs last about 18 months - I always have a spare battery in the car.

Again thanks for all the support, Dan, I have some friends at Romford and it got added to the morning briefing and the station Watsap with pictures there too. All efforts being made but no news of either today. I had a silly o'clock start to catch up today with a drive up to Newcastle first thing, three sites up there and a factory visit then a drive back to Beverley in the Ridings; note don't leave it late (like a 15 hour day) to eat or they are all shut by 9!!! Managed to get some manky chips and a bit of dry chicken, saved by some curry sourse. Just sitting with a pint in hand in an ancient pub in town down an alley, I'll start talking like a pirate soon! Ah yes the carriage today? A Nissan Note.... Don't bother, tiny engine, really tiny fuel tank and so many 'aids' like lane warning it is near impossible to drive as it is constantly pinging and buzzing at you with flashing lights and stupid displays do really struggle to dial them out.

Off to Hull tomorrow, 13 sites to fly around the to Lincoln tomorrow night.

Just saw this. Total shocker. My brother had his Audi stolen form his drive in Leeds. Never heard a thing. Police reckon East European gangs put them on a transporter and away through the tunnel. Hopefully the Mas is so rare that they will see sense and drop it somewhere.

This is shocking and I really feel for you having been burgled three weeks ago at home. It's such a violation on every level.

Have no words, but strongs to you and your family.
