Spot on. I had my 360 engine rebuilt, retimed and mapped by AV/Aldous. It’s a totally different car to drive. I’ve had that car for 19 years now and done 107,000 miles in it pre rebuild so I think I am fairly qualified to comment on Trev360/Aldous’s ECU upgrades. They are not just some overlay map with a supposed 5-10 bhp increase. It totally transformed my car.360trev is The expert on the 360, so if he's looking at the MC Stradale via AV then expect amazing things! The 360 mods AV can do regarding engine timing, ECUs etc (ie split comfort dampers from other Sport functions) are super impressive and are night and day from an "average" 360
See my reply above. From first hand experience, I don't believe a word of it.
When I had my GTS remapped me and Matt proved without a doubt that there was zero real word gain.
In comparison, when I had my 335d (twin turbo) remapped it gained over 100bhp, from 320 to 440 and a truckload of torque, and even then I could only just feel it.
This I think is spot on - to reflect the fact that it is a GT. And Maserati have done a great job in mpg and reliability IMO and I am happy to sacrifice outright power for that.I personally don't believe the mapping was done to prevent the cars being 'faster than a ferrari; I suspect it is purely a reliability and environmental decision by Maserati to not seek max BHP from the engine.
