So..
I'm seriously considering making a couple of nice mods to my Stradale. I've decided to keep it long term - like forever - while I wait for an Alfieri or simple decide to buy something else to sit alongside it. Given that it's out of warranty (no comment!), I see no reason not to make some nice changes that are easily switched back if the notion takes me.
I'd like to do some of the following...
Exhaust - I already have a Larini club sport X-Pipe. I could also add either the 200cell cats or the switchable back boxes. One or the other. Which would you do and why? I'm not looking for Contigo loud (before he replies), more about enhancing, even further, the fantastic noise that it already makes. More pops and bangs would be nice.
Spacers - I like the idea of the FD spacer kit, even if it is £520 with bolts. It's set at 22mm front and 25mm rear. I've done this to other cars without issue and actually had a chat with Matt about it recently. I told him I wouldn't do it but then the wind direction changed.....
Ride height - As with all Maseratis, it sits a little high, particularly at the back. I could pick up some FD lowering springs or just have an expert adjust the suspension accordingly as it is adjustable. I know I'll need to do alignment afterwards before anyone mentions it. I don't want to dramatically harm the ride but I do want it to look a little better.
Looks - My car is black, as most of you know. It's actually Nero Pastello which is gloss black, non-metallic. This is very rare probably because the metallic is easier to live with. Really, the front needs painted now but I'm loathe to do this and then go to Le Mans (said this last year too!). I'm therefore thinking seriously about wrapping it. I know I'll need to paint it one day anyway so I'm less concerned about the supposed paint damage and all that jazz. I reckon a good wrap for a year or two, just for a change. What do you reckon? The other possibility is to get some subtle stripes on it, maybe a trident on the roof etc. In that case, I'd go for a matt black and make it not very obvious. I don't want the full Viper look that I also see on Vauxhall Corsas.
Roll Cage - Matt, where are we on this? I'd love to get that in place, harnesses and all. Totally love them.
Opinions welcome.
