Stradale or California

I went to JCT600 Leeds on Sunday and sat in a Ferrari California
Now I'm starting to look at those as to be honest I'm not a big fan of the vents on the side of the Stradale but there was a lovely new Stradale in the show room too with gorgeous wheels one.
Anyone else made a similar side ways move?

That's a surprise Nick, I thought your young lady had only just got used to getting in to the one you have..?? I do understand the lure of the prancing horse though..!!

Depends. Are you looking at a Strad with rear seats? The California rear seats are really only for people with no legs. Don't know if the new T model is better. But I doubt it.

As I said Robert I'm not keen on the side view of the Strad.
She's quite flexible and can get into most things now!

To be fair we never use the rear seats but it would be a Strad with rear seats if I went for one.

Still a beautiful car but I cant seem to get on with that big vent in the wing and the sill mouldings.
They are better in the flesh for sure.

IMO Cali is great car that ticks so many boxes plus a whole second faster to 60 with 195 mph on tap and 22 mph on a run 17/18 normal. Must be from a main dealer with approved 2 year warranty plus they have bottomed out at 85k. 09s are now moving back to 90k or more. Year on year extended fezza warranty is 2.3 k with 10% discount each year of no claim for upto 12 years. I've done the maths too.....

Strads will always be a good investment but not as quick as they should be unless DMS have breathed life into it.

Good luck with the luxury of such a choice.

I fully understand what you say here. Without the need for rear seats, the Cali has a lot of appeal. The GranTurismo is overweight, under powered and under geared (quantity of ratios not their values). I love mine and will not be selling it soon (have kids) but understand it's limitations if you don't need the space.

First World problems!

Lovely car the California.

Agree that if you don't need the rear seats and you have the means, Cavallino Rampante all the way.

Have driven both (but not the T) and bought a new Stradale. Need I say more?

Lovely car yeti but it would have to be red for me.
So what made you prefer the Strad over the Cali?

If you can afford a Cali and do not care about who's looking at you, i would go for it. GTS and Stradale do not have that huge difference. And you know what is like.

I prefer the looks of the Strad, plus it's got more room inside. What sold it for me was I felt it involved me more as a driver, and the shift in Race mode is something else. I've also had an S, and believe me they are totally different animals, don;t let anyone tell you otherwise. I've only had the Strad since 1st Jan, but already have 3000 miles on it, can't keep out of it. Adore the thing.
