They just hate him now, I'd think if it gets dropped by amazon at the end of next summer the shop will close or JC will hand it over to a farm manager and go back to full time TV.
the thing is it's good that he's highlighted the true struggles of farmers and i have enjoyed both series, however, for JC it's just a jolly, good tv and huge money-maker for him and amazon. I knew from day one in the first series when the lambing shed went up that he was going to try and convert it to a cafe/restaurant hence why it was placed so close to the farm shop, all planned way in advance and don't be fooled by thinking it was an after thought. Planners would not normally allow such a new building to be converted otherwise everyone would be doing the same trick and a presidence would be set. 500k appeal was ridiculous and for tv ratings, at best a written representation with a good rural planning consultant would be 15/20k.

I dont think Amazon will drop the series. Its their best watched show globally. There were noises after the Megan comments but I dont think any came from Amazon themselves.

I just wonder if it's sustainable, how much of a show can you make about a farm and planners

I saw a building company had been fined 100k when somebody took a picture of a worker being lifted in a jcb bucket to fit a date stone in the gable of a building, I don't see how that's any different to kaleb in the weight on the front of the tractor from a H&S perspective so maybe that's season 3 sorted

on the interweb and he only made £144 profit from farming in first series :lol2:

Clarkson is set to earn £10m a year from his new show, with big-spending Amazon Prime shelling out £160m on 36 episodes – a budget of £4.5m per episode. The former Top Gear host will be increasing his old BBC wage tenfold, with fellow presenters Richard Hammond and James May also set for a significant pay rise.

What is Jeremy Clarkson 2021 worth?

As of 2021, Jeremy Clarkson’s net worth is estimated to be $60 million.

Haha I often do that in the opposite , I drop down my workers in the digger bucket about 20-25ft into our dug trench , then ,they can clearly see the pay layer and pan it , makes perfect sense , more accurate ,, and easier to calculate the volume material for processing

Funnily enough that's exactly what my wife said. The barrister was all over the news about how insulted he felt. Tbh I thought he was a dick!
Probably a friend of the guy who put the objection in doing it as a favour which is why it was presented as written

Do you mind me asking where you are?
Asking because my oldest friend used to have a mine in the Yukon.

Watching Clarkson's Farm 2 and I haven't laughed so much, this year.
To add to that. It feels and looks like a fabulous sunny Spring day here,
so, going to my 'happy place' to walk a few miles.
I think you need all you need to know about Clarkson's Farm, when you
recall that Andy Wilman is producing it. It reminds me of Top Gear.
Only with cars swapped for cows. I don't doubt that Jeremy might be
enjoying the experience. And I wouldn't call the Chadlington residents
morons. But they are definitely pawns.
Which reminds me of the prawn joke, as told by the late, great David
Niven.

That seems like a 'challenging environment' in which to operate.
I kid you not .............the camera man and the journalist who shot that and was party with the journalist who posted that on social media are now dead ................thats how it is .............its the wild west , that and the CAR

F**k me. I just read that they were in prison. But I guess they had a 'special' expedited trial and sentencing.
I know little to nothing about the place. At first glance (before I educate myself a bit) it sounds like
The Troubles with sunshine.

Put it this way .................its 50-75 years behind Kenya and Uganda , 63 different tribes of which 70 percent are pastoralists carry AK47,s and have no interest in joining the 21st century, couple that with frequent/almost daily inherent cattle raiding and child abduction helps to sum the place up .

Do you mind me asking. What kind of security is necessary to work in that 'environment'?
Purely curiosity on my part. Attempting to compare it with other environments with which I'm familiar.

Thats a tricky one .....whether your working for an independent or for an NGO UN etc .............I been around there now for coming close to ten years , I am the longest remaining miner there, many others have lost heart, lost money lost face etc and given up for more workable projects within Africa , prime example last week 3 chinese illegal miners shot dead in Lauro , no police follow up and didnt really make the news ..............A few more companies are coming in ........but they come in with high or sometimes the highest connections and think they will win through , but they will fail without making connections and understanding the local village and tribal protocols ...................I ve used all kind of security over the years from local police to National security and Military intelligence and SPLA tiger Battalion all of which will screw you blind eventually .........Ive used expat security ......some are my best mates ex marines/sas on the circuit ex Blackwater/executive outcomes types if you get my drift but generally way to expensive long term . With half the country still being what might be called civil war the only best way is to fly solo and below the radar (difficult when your a white guy lol ) but as best you can , choose local security whenever possible , and make sure they have enough ammo at all times litterally daily because they sell it at every opportunity ,many a time ive done a random inspection to find out I have ten guards ten weapons and four rounds between all of them, its no joke when you come under fire most likely from cattle herdsmen to see your guards just drop there weapons and run away , they are too heavy to run fast with so they drop them ,,,,,,,,,,im laffing now but its true mate .

If your british trained you will handle no problem finding the groove quickly
