Telemetry done (was so bad!) - final toe-in couldn't be fixed? Good N London outfit

I've been complaining on here about heavy tram-lining - so you've all said to get the telemetry done.
Found a local place (1 mile away!) with a new Hunter rig. £100. They spent well over an hour on it.
Seem like good guys who know what they are doing>

It was embarrassingly out of whack.
Driving much much better!±

1/ Still a tiny bit too much play in the steering for me (like a half inch of less but not totally tight).
Is that just how the QP is? That feel seems to tighten up with the power on - but straight line cruising there's a tiny bit too much play. Maybe that's their attempt at the luxury saloon bit?

2/ They couldn't get the camber done on the passenger front completely. Still 0-58' out. Said it was on maximum adjustment, there was nothing left to adjust. Said it might need a new "bushing".
a) Have they diagnosed that correctly?
b) Do I need a Maserati dealer to do that or can I have them do it?
c) Are these the parts? Is it worth buying a full set and getting all the front bushings done at once?

She's a 2005 QP Duoselect (but the MY06 model). Don't ask about my front tyres. There's an odd mix there. Will probably replace both after Llandrow. New Eagle F1's on the back. (one Pirelli on the back got a slit - cheaper to replace both 50% worn P Zero's with Eagle F1s than just replace one).

My 4200 tramlined really badly once the tyres got low , I though I'd need to get the tracking done, drove it to costco and it was all over the place on the motorway

Drove it back with 4 new michelin pilot sport 4s on and it was transformed , like a completely different car , I was astounded how different it was so I'd look at your tyres

You definitely have an issue if you can't get camber within tolerance, but as wack61 said, it's remarkable the difference a set of new matching tyres can make to the feel.

Getting this done completely changes and corrects the way the car drives, I did mine after Le Mans and I wished I had done it earlier! I paid around £140 for mine and the guy doing it was really knowledgeable. Next time I get my tyres changed I'll get it done again. Which will be before the next MOT in July.

I don't know if the QP are the same as the GS, but to get the GS done properly can require the use of shims.
This is not quick to do, so one guy here who has a Hunter wouldn't attempt the job and referred me to another guy. Oh and mine handled like a pig with tram lining in ruts on the old Hume Highway where the trucks leave tracks. Turns out some numpty who had no idea set the right rear out by 15 degrees! Beautiful now though.

Personally I wouldn't worry too much about being in the red on the front ns. Very small adjustments look very big on screen and 1 minute turns a box from red to green. The biggest change between the two diagrams was 20 minutes (right rear camber), a third of a degree, which is about 2 tenths of the square root of f*ck all.

Hmm.... you think just didn't have shims? That means they don't know they need them or how to use them. I'll give them a call.

Probably will put a new set of front tyres on after Llandrow. Then I'll get the telemetry redone.
Makes such a difference already. For £100 this is worth doing every six months/3,000 miles.

It's geometry.

That camber is out by less than 20 minutes - which is bugger all and not to be worried about.

My GTS has new tyres all round and really does feel unsettled so I'm hoping it is the alignment and it is booked in on Tuesday ahead of Llandow.

Under heavy acceleration and during the gear change the front end skips.

I had my 3200 redone with a little more front camber and a fair bit more castor than normal, It was all over the place down the lanes bit like an Alfa 4C!

It's miles better now with lots more steering feel

All that red works well at generating cash when they offer a free tracking check though
