What a great weekend.
the Ace carpark, absolutly perfect venue , was completely taken over with maseratis. Miles standing on the top of nana's mobile camera podium ( van ), trying to shuffle all the cars into a sort of circle to photograph them, the car park was just too small for us.
meeting people for the first time and every one of them was like an old freind , the enthusiasm from our better halfs , the weather was great ,
BennyD all the way from nantwich with his son , our new malaysian member , the boys from Emblem.

what a great weekend.
mad dash along the m4 , Miles in front of us , Miles behind us , sounding like a 747 landing on top of us. watching the karting, did'nt have a clue who was who. BennyD 1st on the podium, at one point kaz was top of the leader board with Loz trailing 4 place's behind her.

hotel was good, restaurant was perfect, hotel bar went on all night.

ok , we did'nt do the awards........but we will.

A big big thanks to Miles for his arrangements and for his recording of this event and a big thanks to all of you for attending and making this inaugeral christmas bash so enjoyable.

THANKS MILES

Ditto all of the above!! Louise enjoyed herself too and enjoyed meeting you all, as did I.

The drive home was hard, with heavy eyes and a bit shaky from a little over indulgence, but made it back in one piece.

Looking forward to the next meet, when and where ever it may be.

Thank you all for your very kind comments. I hope you all found the day as enjoyable as I did, well the bits I can remember anyway. It all gets a bit sketchy after the meal. I think I may have partaken of toooo much Creme de Menthe, though I suspect I wasn't alone!!! Thanks to Budgie in particular as he worked hard to get the restaurant sorted, and what a lovely meal it was. Also thanks to Budgie and Nick for a most enjoyable blast on Sunday morning. That certainly got rid of the cobwebs following a snaking Spyder!

Loads to sort out so bear with me..

Need to announce the winners of the awards, there are pictures to post and there's some financials to sort out, all of which I'll get on with over the coming days...

Oh and how about this?

Anyone fancy building a similar day around the Stanford Hall event?........ Stanford, evening meal, overnight stay? It's pretty central so hopefully easier for our northern fraternity to attend and we should hopefully get some nice weather?

Have you noticed what fine people own and admire Maserati? I have.

Regards to all, Miles.

Miles, I may only have been able to get to the Ace (even that was at short notice on a be there or bust basis) but just that was great, the feedback on the rest of the event has been super and I'm so kicking myself it was not able to happen for me.

My problem is that I have a large family and with Christmas looming it was all too much. I will be getting to manymore events as they come around and will be bringing a selection of the brood and Mrs 2b1 with me...

Very well done and many thanks for your hard work organising everything, it was great to meet you at last.

Cheers,
