Good morning/afternoon all. Home and relaxing after an excellent day yesterday. I plan to do as little as possible for the rest of the day!

Well that didn't go to plan. Ended up helping my son do his paper round. The walk and fresh air did me the world of good. Just had a curry and now settling in front of the telly for the rest of the evening.

I got my fresh air Harly waxing the BM. It didn't take that long but it was quite refreshing. Another of tomorrow's jobs done.

Good to see you're all slowly returning to life.

Sitting in the lounge at Heathrow T3 waiting for the Qantas overnight to Dubai. There for 24 hours and then to the building site that is Doha for another day and then back to Abu Dhabi for Weds before an overnight back to London ready to be fresh and sparky for an 8.30 meeting on Thursday morning. And after that the UK team is going out for its Christmas bash.

By the end of the week I plan to also have mostly returned to life. Mostly.

Have a good detox, everyone.

Crikey fella, that doesn't sound like fun and much rather you than me. Anyway, have what fun you can!

Must admit, I'm looking forward to the weekend even more than usual! On the upside, for all the flying all I have to do is try and sleep: no obligation to get the bloody thing up in the air and down again in one piece and in the right place.

Good point. But when I get to where we are going, all I have to do is sleep. I don't have to try and earn a living when I'm there!

It sounds glamorous but long haul flying is just a grind. It's just an office with a nice view.

It used to be thought of as such but now it's just long hours and jet lag. It's taking me longer and longer to recover from each trip and I feel constantly tired. Not the best feeling in the world.

When you do the same thing for decades it becomes less glamorous the more you do it.

I hate computers now as there is always something that needs fixing....constant maintenance.

4 more years till retirement.....well, semi, keep the graphics company going, do something with cars and spend more time organising events on the forums.
