A day of highs and lows - excellent team discussion on 12th floor of GSK House, followed by incredibly tedious virtual meeting listening to someone listing names of people I've never and will never meet... Can't begin to imagine what they were thinking the point would be.

Morning guys. Can't sleep, so up and about. Theoretically, a busy weekend in store but I can't see me getting that much done if I play it right! Have a good one.

Morning all.
Today I'll be cleaning out my son's first car. A 1.0 VW Polo thats been sat under a tree in a large garden for 7 years! It's going to take me all day.

Does the car have that stuff that gets on the paint when under trees?
How do you get that off?

A working day and then taking the Mrs out for her Birthday......its raining here and its putting me in a bad mood

it was covered in green moss and tree muck. I've not seen it since that first day so I'm presuming hes got all that off somehow. Diesel powered steam cleaner I suspect.
The inside stinks of damp and mold so that's my department.

Morning all

Alfas gone in for paint and a tart up.

Got my sports hire car yesterday, its a Volvo V60 D6, I nearly wet myself with laughter when they dropped it off.

Then I drove.....I like it, does this mean I am officially old now?

I really like the Volvo range...They are great looking cars these days and much better to look at the the Ford and Vauxhall, VW etc range.

It's like a £45k car.

It's the first full auto that I have driven that I actually like. It's got bags of power for a diesel and is nicely styled inside. Its a bit unusual, like an Alfa and not Germanic.

The only thing that bugs me is all the safety stuff, but I suppose it is a Volco.

If you get too close to the car in front a red head up light glows on the windscreen.

If you have a car in your blind spot a red light on the associated wing mirror comes on.

If you have full beam on and a car comes the other way it dips them.

All very cleaver but am I actually driving this car or just here for the ride???

But all that said and done it is a bit 'left field' and for that reason I like it.

Yep we have all sorts of bongs and blips in the QQ. **** it even warns you to take a break as it monitors steering input, pedal control etc and makes a decision that you are too tired to drive!
