Morning. I need to do some chasing today. PT session first. First one for a while, so it's not going to be fun and I need to be careful with ongoing injuries.

Mrs C has two interviews (one 'real' one dry run for a real one tomorrow) so it's all go round here.

Have a great day, all

C

Morning all from a wet and yuck Gold Coast- which is actually good as it’ll keep the surfers off the beaches........Yesterday we had the first fatal shark attack here since 1956.

Sorry to hear some of you are experiencing work difficulties. Fingers crossed for you all and keep your chins up!

Morning

From much sunnier climbs, been abroad for a few weeks now. Its lovely.

Getting rather sick of COVID.

Its not like Passover, where if you keep your door shut it will just disappear overnight.

Countries that have endured the harshest lockdowns, when they open their doors get a huge spike in cases. Lockdown just slows the rate people get infected, it won't stop people getting infected.

If we genuinely are concerned about hospitals being overrun, why don't we tie our lockdown policy to hospital admissions? Many can test positive, it doesn't mean they actually get gravely ill.

I'm also sick of the way this Government blame the public.

The reason for this lockdown, is apparently due to people being unable to follow the Government's policy. Why not admit the policy was ill conceived and did not work?

Instead, this Government blames its failings on the public. Unfortunately, the General Public only have just enough between their ears to believe the Government.

Soon the General Public will again start Calling the Police on their neighbours. That's what they did in deepest Communist USSR. That's the behaviour this government is encouraging.

Right, morning rant over. I'm off to enjoy the 270degree view of mountains and sea.

I'm of course in a non-quarantine on return country...IMG_20200903_141123.jpg

Finding other people to blame is a great way of shedding one's responsibilities. Pishes me off that the government is blaming young people for the spike. They obviously haven't seen that the people too bloody stupid to wear a mask at all, or even over their noses, are of a broad age range.

Start by stringing up Cummings by his thumbs and from a great height to contemplate his achievements.

Anyhoo, where are you? Looks rather lovely.

Just back from a rather nice lunch at Armathwaite Hall Hotel, where a rather 'bright yellow' Ghibli was being parked up by two middle aged ladies... has Blondie swapped her Strad?

Are you sure if it’s not just the ends of the timbers? They can be replaced by only removing part of the roof.

Yep sure, got up and looked myself. Plus he put a drown up there as well to show. The timber just crumbles in your hand all the way to the top. That would explain the damp in certain rooms in the winter. To be honest I believe this roof must have been the original from the 60's probably and we did fear that it was worse than we thought. Ah well at the least and new roof with more modern tiles will bring the house a bit more up to date and help if we ever sell......Still, was very much looking forward to changing the car this year. Life is full of suprised I suppose.

Anyway, good morning all....Friday..Hurray...
