55 years...That's some milestone.....Congratulations and hope they have a great day.

Even if they don't it's odd on they'll have forgotten tomorrow ;). That's a little harsh but father in law called this morning at 0900 to explain that he'd bumped into an old neighbour yesterday, who had fitted their double glazing. So FIL tells ON about the problem with the bedroom window. Want to guess when siad window is being replaced?

So Chris Squire is the bassist from Yes......Never a fan of all that progressive rock so would not have known who he was.

I also wouldn't have clue the names of band members in REM.....Apart from the Stripe man...

Feeling a little 'older today curtesy of the young girl on the Sainsbury check out. Asked me if I was collecting the Lego freebie to which I said 'I think I am little too old for Lego'... her response was 'You could always give them to you grandchildren!'

Buying lighter gas refills at B&M a couple of weeks ago and the girl asked me if I was over 25? I said I hoped so as my daughter was probably old enough to have been her primary teacher! I guess the sarcasm was lost going on the expression I got back. My bad that I didn't answer her actual question; "wat-ev's!"

Morning, motley rabble. Definitely more autumnal out there. This time last autumn I was having to do regular schleps up to London to do that work thang (when not schlepping around abroad). Since then I have fully embraced working at home and my future plans do not involve an office other than my man cave. So, Monday, short commute, working from right here. Just got to get some more time committed so I can start planning what the Vantage 'needs' doing in the new year. I'm thinking less asthmatic headers and maybe CarPlay. Don't tell Mrs Crud.

Have a good day, all of you.

Good morning everyone, day off today but off for a 'schlep' to Birmingham well near the NEC to look at some techy stuff for two days. Beats working.

Years ago, when I was about 45, I sat next to a (young, pretty, female) flight attendant deadheading back from Boston to London, and listened to her charmingly prattling on about her boyfriend etc, for the whole flight. At the end, one of her colleagues, who was working the flight, said to her, "Did you have a nice flight Tracey?" and she very graciously included me in her response, replying "Oh, yes! I've had a lovely time talking to this old gentleman." Ouch!

Morning all, eagerly awaiting Boris announcement this evening re Covid rules. We’re due a week in a cottage near Richmond North Yorkshire at the end of the month. We were originally going in March/April but had to postpone it for lockdown a week before we went. So this is the second try. Not essential I know but not getting away from a house that we’re renovating, living on the job so to speak, I just need to see the back of it for a week.
