Good morning all. Long day today in work as need to see the late/shift but still need to be in at 8 this morning and it’s the only day this week I can see them. Other than that business as usual.

Old laptop making nasty noises this morning; hope it keeps going until new one arrives next week.

Morning all, may thanks for all of my birthday blessings yesterday, ended up putting in a full day as usual. Today I have some quotes, invoices and reports to get out before heading to Burnham-on-Crouch for a bit of kayaking then a drive up to Newark premier inn overnight.

Have fun all…

Well we are now in full self isolation as my daughter tested positive (PCR test), her boyfriend tested positive on Sunday but she was negative at that point.
That means all six of them that were together watching the football on Friday have tested positive!!
The school my daughters boyfriend teaches at has 500 pupils self isolating and has now been closed for a 10 day firebreak.
This new variant certainly seems to transmit very easily.
We live in the Home Counties so not a known hot spot.
I hope you all have better days !

Sorry to read that, Sam. Best of luck to you all.

How many of the newly +ve people had been double-vaccinated?

It's normally the fan doing that. Blowing into the vents whilst the laptop is off sometimes clears dust build up, or a can of compressed air if that doesn't work.

Or if you fancy take the back off the laptop do that and use the compressed air and even some tweezers to pick out flush.
I did that with a laptop of mine a few years ago, and got another couple of years out of it.

Morning all. A morning of calls with funds and and IPP's this morning before we go for the 20 week scan for our little girl.
By the time she turns up we would have more pics of her than we had of Joseph before his was 1!

At least we know everything is ok, so all is good.

Thanks. Hoping it's a fan; fearing it's a drive. Turns out I bought it in 2013, so I figured an upgrade was justified. Have bought an Acer Swift.

Sucking with a hoover at the exhaust vents is better than blowing all the crud back in.....

Discs go clickety clickety die

They are all in the 25-30 age bracket.
One of them has been double vaccinated (had second jab late May). The others have all only just had first Jab (within a week).

Poor sods. Well, hopefully even the single jab will help reduce the symptoms. although I think it takes about 2 weeks to have much effect.

Good luck!

Thanks, I am sure they will be fine, young, fit, healthy etc.
I am watching with interest to see if there is spike following the football and then to see if anyone has the balls to pull the plug on 60,000 people at the final. Time will tell.

We are waiting to see if we are accepted on a study/trial where if you have two vaccines you test daily rather than isolate.
