Having lived on Fraggle Rock for a year, I can confirm that that is most certainly the bottom of Bray Hill near to Ago’s Leap. However, Biffin Bridge isn’t a geographical location, it’s a physical one also known as the Bridge of Sighs. Read the Profanasaurus in Viz for a full description.

Last weekend I downloaded an app named Merlin. Merlin identifies birds by their song, or calls. So far it has identified robins, long-tailed tits, wrens, thrushes, blackbirds, blackcaps, wagtails, blue-tits, rooks, woodpigeons, jackdaws and nuthatches.

What other birds have you all spotted in your various corners of the globe?

I haven’t used Merlin but will download it and give it a go. We keep a list of the birds that we see in or over our garden. We are up to 46 so far with Red Kite being the latest addition:

Great Black Backed gull
Herring gull
Black headed gull
Kittiwake / Common Gull
Carrion crow
Jay
Jackdaw
Magpie
House sparrow
Hedge sparrow
Blackbird
Robin
Wren
Song thrush
Mistle thrush
Mallard
Moorhen
Greenfinch
Chaffinch
Goldfinch
Blue tit
Great tit
Long tailed tit
Coal tit
Pied wagtail
Yellow wagtail
Grey wagtail
Collared dove
Rock pigeon
Wood pigeon
Little Egret
Kingfisher
Buzzard
Sparrow hawk
Pheasant
Kestrel
Green woodpecker
Greater spotted woodpecker
Lesser spotted woodpecker
Blackcap
Grey heron
Goldcrest
Starling
Nuthatch
Tawny owl
Red Kite

Can’t help thinking that this is significant thread drift, albeit still relevantly named

Good haul. We've started getting a few red kites around here and have seen a barn owl hunting in the early evening. The buzzards are quite plentiful, as well as the sodding gulls, which will see them off if they're hustling for airspace. I'm hoping the kites will put up a more spirited defence.

For the lechers, here are some plump young tits (of the long-tailed variety).
