Still try to understand what could have gone wrong with that rebuilt TT.
It is very uncommon that a new bearing gets shot so quickly.
Something must have gone wrong during mounting then, maybe not lined up correctly, thus getting under a lot of preload?

I am not one for talking much on here as I usually haven’t needed to for a very good reason. I have found many of your threads and others extremely helpful with maintaining and restoring my own car that it’s never been necessary! Very sad to hear you’re selling, I am sure whatever your replacement is you will keep up the good work on other forums. All the best.
