Thinking of a change...

So I've had my 4.2 / 08 plate for 18 mths now and it has been my first foray into the world of both a better breed of cars and of course specifically Maserati. And I should stress, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the car. Indeed, its in good condition, well taken care of, I've had bits & pieces done to it such as a stereo upgrade and refitted some of the vinyl parts of the interior with leather.

But, I'm not great at sticking with cars and like to switch (I've a separate daily drive which for now is staying). Part of me has always wanted a Lambo, but I'm kind of moving away from this as I can't afford new, and the Gallardo is I guess just a bit long in the tooth - or perhaps its that the new cars are well, newer and I won't satisfied!

So, I've been mulling over in my mind upgrading my existing GranTurismo for a later model, higher spec. As such, I'm seeking the advice of the great minds of the forum as to:

i) should I - or should I consider other options
ii) if I should, then what should I be looking at

I'd trade mine in and be willing to put another perhaps 30-35k on the table, so guess I'm looking at around the 70k budget.

Comments and thoughts welcome!!

Thought about waiting for the Alfieri, but that's going to be 2+ years in reality, and want to change sooner.

Seats - hmm...good question. Sort of need the 4, but increasingly thinking that does matter as the family are getting towards the point of being too big for the back, or at least, we don't use it enough as a family to worry about it. So, I think for the right car, 2 is ok.

Early Strad for me, or wait for the new Alfieri.
That's what I'm doing......despite browsing through countless autotrader pages......resisting temptation!
This will be my last foray into supercars and a present to myself for my 50th.
Cheers Wattie

Don't worry, I'm not so keen on the interior of that one!!

The real icing on the cake would be a 4 seater Stradale but they seem very few and far between. I've seen one for sale, but its far outside my range and recall seeing only one in the past.

If I wasn't to look at a Stradale - but let me say I am! - what would be next in the pecking order? I know these are questions that I should probably know the answer to, but there are a number of combinations including of gearboxes that I'm not quite sure... As always, comments and thoughts are very welcome and appreciated!

Depending on age, £70k will get you any GranTurismo you want (well, apart from a 4 seater Stradale) so it's best to drive the various options and decide which you want as this will make the search a lot easier. I always caution anyone to not buy an automated clutch manual car withouth driving one first as they are very different to what many people are used to - fine if that is your bag but drive one first.

Noooooooooooooooooo...YOU can not buy that one as I want it...My fav Stradale for sale at the moment. To be honest its been for sale for some time so there must be a deal to be done...Just love it.

It is absolutely bloody gorgeous, Andy, agreed. But I'm with BigR that the interior is dubious. I'll take that blue with a black interior.

BigR.

Send that Granturismo over to me in Australia.

I'll be more than happy to take it off your hands for 35k pounds.

In that case, Andy, whilst I *do* fancy yours much, I'll leave her for you.

Personally I'd be trouble if that blue with a black interior ever came up for sale. I'd have to run away really fast. Or sell a kidney.
