Well after hiding this away for a little while it's about time I got things out into the open.

The car is now to the standard I wanted and is better for the little extras I have had fitted; so it now has a GS front, Larini X Pipe, Cruise, Parking System.

Thanks to Richard Grace for supplying the car, which was everything he promised.

Now anyone up for a V6 Plate, or should I change my name?

Looks fantastic, welcome back. We going to see the motor at Ace in a few weeks or will we have to wait till xmas?

Can we see some more pics too?

That's brilliant news Peter. Looks in fine fettle and ditching the louvres was a shrewd move (in my opinion at least). Hope she behaves herself. I'll be interested to hear what you think to the stock system with just the X pipe - exhaust note? Cabin resonance?

No more photos at the moment as I just managed to get the 4th coat of Swisvax on her before the light faded...and now its raining [but she is tucked up safe and sound]

Off for a little shake down in the morning to Monaco, then Rapallo, the Italian Lakes, Alps, and the Champagne areas...should get about 3k on the clocks and be home for Sunday [in two weeks that is].

Have to say, just from the brief drive when it was delivered, that the CC box is much improved over the 2003 version, including the hill assist using the brakes, the new clutch is a bonus too...however it does not feel as quick as the last 4200, maybe the motor is still a little tight. And I prefered the 2003 dash dials too.

Need to get the alloys re-finished as the paint is rough to touch in some places and that will trap the dirt, but I will use the place in Swindon who stripped and re-pained the 2003 rims just before I sold her.

Looks fantastic, and that trip sounds pretty much perfect, too. Hopefully you'll get chance to take and share some pictures while you're away. Enjoy!

Had the same impression with my GS Peter. The facelift / GS revision seems to require a much heavier foot on the throttle, but once you get used to it, the smile returns :D

Great stuff mate , worth the wait and the struggle , knew you would get there in the end , glad someone else has come forward re the responsivness from the earlier cars and the later cars , its still my view that they are far quicker on accelleration and for sheer aggression, but as Miles says thats not to say with a heavy foot you can nearly reproduce the same , but not quite
