Tinting

Today I had the beauty tinted.

Pentagon in Barnet appear to have done a good job - need to leave it for 36-48 hrs to let it fully dry and to see final effect.

I went for the light smokey glass - the lightest of four shades they offer - you have to remember whatever you put on is of course on top of what you already have with factory tint. Darkest shade they offer is midnight / limo - basically totally blacked out

It has come up very nice I think and really sets the nero off.

Not the cheapest in town but as with everything you get what you pay for - they did look after me on price though - and would for other members.

They are exprienced with many supercars - check out their gallery.

All in all - worth it.

Not normally , its mostly done in situ Matt , there are companies that send you existing glass away for treatment tinting that doesn't come off the best kind and obviously more expensive, least the Old Bill cant make you take it off if you happened to go too dark on the door windows:happy2:

loz is right - they do it to below the wndow line by removing some part of the inside upper door but do not remove the window itself.

it is only if you are stupid that you'll get old bill trouble - midnight / limo is asking for trouble - as is doing the windscreen.

mine has just taken the edge off - compliments rather than dominates.

Hi Loz,
Good to meet for beer last night and you have to love that **** larini exhaust.

There is a very good tinting comapny in MK and they have done many of my cars in the past and price is very reasonable. Thinking of doing mine so maybe I psy them a visit.

HI Guys,I tend to get a slight scratching on the window film within a very short period of time caused my dust and grit particles adhering to the glass and scratching the inside surface.
I would imagine the film used is scratch resistant then?

Hi Dave,
Love the car, headturner for sure with that colour. I am taking it easy at the moment till I get properly used to it.

I must say I do hate the exhaust sound, well ok I don't hate it but having listened to Loz's well I WANT ONE! ;-)

Haven't had any problems apart from the handbrake but I will look into that properly when I get some time.

Cheers

Nice one Andy.

Yes the exhaust is the worst of it IMHO. I have some Larini music on order for my new car.

Cheers

pentagon are in barnet which is round the corner for me, i have a lot of friends that have taken their cars there and are very happy, just last week they did a friends s5 and it looks excellent, what i would recommend if your going down the tint route is getting the glass break protection they do
i have never tinted any cars ive owned as i always wanted to be seen in them but they can look good
