Tip for anyone new to working on a spyder roof - how to get the buttons to work again

I have recently managed to fix a leak on my spyder's roof hydraulics see:-

One problem I encountered was getting the roof control button (and electric windows) to work again after fiddling about with the roof with the ignition off. Having upset the normal cycle by manhandling the rear section and flap to get to the workings none of the roof and window controls worked when I switched the ignition on.

The answer was in the rear glove box where there are two switches - one controls the latches on the covering panel and the other the catches at the back of the roof. With the cover and roof positioned as as close as you can to normal hood up configuration, using the buttons in the glove box you first need to operate the cover catches to lock it in place followed by the rear roof catches to screw down the window section - some light pressure from a gentle helping hand makes sure everything connects.

Voila - the cockpit electric window and roof buttons now come back to life and you can breath a huge sigh of relief that everything is working again.
