I'm not sure that I want to ask why?

Not sure when I last typed/wrote the D word but I certainly didn't expect it to attract comments!

Back to topic(!)... Any good independents to look after these cars on the South Coast? I know the local(ish) main dealer well and know of Emblem too.

MAF had a bit of a run-in with a rather rotund fast-Dat driver at Brunters last year. Pleasantries were exchanged including a pointed comment regarding the girth of said knuckle-head which caused endless merriment amongst the assembled throng. It still brings the odd smile. Happy days!

Can only sing the praises of Emblem, they are the only Maserati garage that have never let me down

Ah I see. Glad to have inadvertently resurrected that memory!

Their reputation seems pretty good from what I've heard and read. It would be good to know of anyone a bit closer to home but I'm familiar with trotting down to the new forest area every few months and there seem to be options in Surrey and Kent for good independents.

If you find somebody you like and trust the distance becomes irrelevant. Autoshield look after my GranSport - they're a 400 mile round trip away for me.

As Mark is most definitely from Darn Sarf, I'm sure that one of those words wasn't included. Don't think it was whatever the last one was though...

**** sounds about right, whatever's under the stars.

Hi all

Quick resurrection of the thread as in less than 48 hours I'll no longer be toying with the idea of a Gransport.

As always with my car buying exploits I've gone beyond where I originally planned to with this but I'm sure I won't regret it!

More to follow next week with Pics as soon as I can!

Hope that means you are about to join the club rather than have decided against one and gone for something else...

Apologies for the poor quality pic and picturesque view of Cobham services but this beauty is where my search has ended!

I've spent the afternoon driving back from picking her up from Richard Grace and to say I'm chuffed with my purchase is somewhat of an undertsatement.

Having originally set out to buy an LE car, preferably with Nero/Nero combination I consider myself very fortunate to have landed a Nero/Nero MCV.

Richard was great to deal with and I would firmly recommend anyone else considering buying a used Maserati of any description picking up the phone and having a chat with Richard - friendly, no nonsense advice and knowledge. He fully deserves his reputation from my experience of buying from him.

More pics to follow in the next couple of weeks when I have time but there are plenty on the Forum of this car and it looks just as good in the flesh as it does in the pictures I had seen of it.

Hopefully I'll find the time to join in with some of the meets arranged by the Forum, it's been extremely useful in helping me decide to buy a GS and so far I'm not dissapointed!
