The winning party is chosen by folks that can't make their minds up. People with strong opinions will always vote blue or [if you have to] red. The other lot just confuse the issue.
At the time of posting we now have a 'hung' parliament and some **** deals between the losers will, no doubt, be done.
Perhaps we'll have to do it all again until we get the answer right.

I think Clegg will join up with Cameron. It's the only combination that will work.

I'm going out on a limb here but ....
As an old and established Conservative voter with 40+ years of voting behind me, I do want to stress the issue of personal responsibility.
Now I know that some folks couldn't vote because of a) queues, b) lack of ballot papers BUT....
those young students do not have my sympathy. The polling stations opened at 7.00am so just get up early and vote then rather than spend the evening in the pub and pop out to cast the old vote at 9.30 without polling cards and whinge when the doors close.
Sorry but they have to learn!

..and you're right Peter; I think that David C has to have the Cleggies on board.
He has the moral right (and I admire Clegg for accepting that) to try.

Actually it HAS to work,
Can you imagine any longer with old dour-cloggs Brown grimacing at us for another year or so?

Markp4200....................you shock and horrify me in equal measure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Given the lowish turn out.......ANYONE who was prepared to exercise their franchise MUST be praised................remember, they stood in a queue for 30-60-120 minutes without success!

In my polling station...just 300 yds away, I was in and out in 10 mins...............if I had to wait....for any longer than 15mins...it would have been "Sod that!!!"

Lets try to encourage the disaffected youth...not abuse them................:)...:)

PS One limb down now.......................oh dear....:(

Best of a bad compromise Miles but better than Labour , was really surprised that some of the Labour old guard came out against the lib/lab talks and wanted to bow out gracefully , that is what really saved the day for the Tories , Mandelson and Brown wanted power at any price no matter how low they had to stoop , who wants people like that running the country self serving pigs.

Hows about MORE self-serving pigs..............;).................how many MPs stepped down because of the abuse of public funds..........from which party........

I truly don't really distinguish between parties............................basically it all boils down to how much tax you're robbed of........and in the current horrendous position...who "governs" matters little.....IMHO

Not sure about deals but I suppose we've got the best outcome given the circumstances - let's wait and see what Campo and Cleggy come up with now that Foggy is out of the loop.
I hope we don't get the usual compromise cock ups as demonstrated by the motor industry when different brands come together to make a car - e.g. [Alfa + Datsun ]= Arna, and [Ford + Jaguar] = X-Type.

Loz, I agree with Parisien.

I have this observation about the UK having studied and lived here for a while now.

There is a serious work ethic problem here.

Brits will fight for and die for their country but they dont want to work for it. And until that changes you are going to continue to have serious problems.

There are now families with 3 generations who have not worked. You have young girls deliberately falling pregant to secure welfare - 17 with 3 kids etc

I have no problem at all with some felllow from the EU trying to better himself and his family, who works his **** off 10 hours a day for what is still **** money in circumstances where some young brit says "no thanks, I'm better off on benefits".

These workers work hard, pay tax and contribute to UK society - unlike the latter category. They are to be encouraged in my view.

Reward for effort is my manifesto.
