Turn Signal Failure

First fault of ownership, had a left turn signal failure today on my 2009 GTS. All indicators on the left of the car are not working and the dash symbol is flashing faster than normal. Anyone had this before and can point me in the right direction? I'm assuming a dodgy connection somewhere due to the weather, or a fuse/relay.

sounds like a LED failure on the rear lamps. Try the hazards and see if they operate the other units

Thats odd. Just jumped in it to test the hazards. Tried the left indicator first and again got the failure indicator on the display and no left lights flashing. Put the hazards on and all are flashing correctly left and right. Turned hazards off and tried left signal again, now they work, failure indicator gone!

I did notice some condensation in the tail light lense on that side so perhaps the damp upset it. I'll take it apart dry it out and find where the seal is leaking.

Good news...have you jet washed it recently?

No jet washing. Its usually under shelter but has been out in the open the last couple of nights and its been raining a lot. The other tail light is clear so must be a leak somewhere. I'll take it apart today and post my findings.

Does anyone know if I need to disconnect the battery before unplugging the tailight cluster to avoid any warning lights or anything?
