Tyre Size for GranSport

There have been some threads about this but many of them are quite old.

What size is recommended for the GS?

The OEM is 235/35/19 front and 265/30/18 rears, but some report going 10mm wider on both ends is better and also provides better rim protection.

I have 235/35/ZR19 at the front and 265/30/ZR19 at the rear (so OEM), and all seems fine. (They are Pirelli P Zero Nero GT tyres - probably just what was available at that size at the time, when fitted by the previous owner.)

I am a big fan of keeping it standard, but bear in mind, if you go 10mm wider the rolling circumference will also be bigger.

On the fronts, as the spokes stick out, you have as much chance of crunching them as the rim itself.

I went + 10mm front and rear on my 4200.
The extra circumference corrected my speedo error.

I have gone 10mm wider on the front, as the 235's look slightly 'stretched' a look I can't stand, also said to give a slightly better ride, the difference in rolling circumference is only very small, only trouble is, as I have 15mm spacers all around, the fronts rub on the wheel arch liners.

jasst, I'm glad you brought up wheel spacers. Doesn't adding spacers mess up the zero scrub radius of these cars?

I think somewhere I still have a set of 25mm spacers , must have a rummage around the garage sometime ,.....last time I looked can't remember seeing any wheel nuts ,probably need to find a man with a lathe around Suffolk
