So that's £1620+VAT and fitting for the front end?

Rear is smaller so should cost less.

I was looking for mats on the eurospares website so checked out rear brakes - £208 for a disc and £315 for the pad kit so that's £731+VAT for the rear or £2351+VAT for all four corners. I think that the 4.2 is the same size all round so that would be far cheaper at c£1462+VAT.

Well my last statement about the 4.2 was rubbish - the part number of the front discs is different to the back and they cost more than the 4.7 front disc - strange.

Wow Bob, that's a right chunk of change, we need to hunt around and find a manufacturer for these..!!

Hi Adam, Your discs don't look too bad, vent holes aren't full of brake dust.
Be interested how anyone gets on with changing GTS brakes as their rubbish and outrageously expensive. MD told me front discs are £1K each!! and pads nearly £800. Disc/pad set up apparently unique to GTS and QP GTS and therefore no aftermarket pattern available as still licensed to Maserati. Only option to change discs and fit adaptor as per Noors site.
Of note is MC Set up cars have slightly different front discs with grooves and vent holes but not sure if this is why I was quoted £1K each.
I think they would benefit from stainless hoses as certainly with mine the feel is dreadful with a very soft pedal. Changing the fluid made little or no difference. I'll be chatting to MD when mine goes in for service soon but can't make any unofficial mods as still under warranty.
Let us know how you get on Adam.

All

EBC & Ferrodo do pads for the 4 pot brembo (4.2) & 6pot ( 4.7)

Prices are around £130.00 for fronts.
In my QP I have EBC Heavy Duty front pads which was listed for older 7series BMW & skyline from my Motor Factor
They only cost £50.00... even came with ant squeal shims & a bedding in coating.
So .. Yes give the alternative parts a try, you will save litterally thousands ! I did Bruntingthorpe & more Recently Rockingham & pads are still serviceable...

Cheers

We could really do with somebody with a new GTS to take off front and rear discs and measure all the parameters, then search on brake manufacturers sites for the same thing, they will be out there somewhere..!! They are probably fitted on Ferrari and others..!!
